Brett has traveled around the world with his camera. Visiting places such as, India, New Zealand, Australia, Cuba, South America, Hong Kong, Africa, Nepal, Tanzania, USA, Canada to name but a few. It is with this passion for travel photography that Brett has molded his style and brought all aspects of the way he shoots into his Social Photography business.
As Brett talks about his feeling to his travel work” Walking around the streets with my camera & usually my 50mmlens gives me an immense sense of freedom. Whether walking the streets of India, London or documenting the day trip to a zoo I am at peace with the world. I am a great believer that you get back from your subjects what you give to them. Sometimes I don’t even have to speak, it’s how you are, it’s your persona that you give off that makes a difference to the image you will get from your subjects. I use a lot of lighting equipment of some of my shoots, fashion, weddings & commercial. It is nice to be able to just walk around with one lens, usually a 50mm 1.2L. This lens allows me to look at the entire frame before I press the shutter, to wait for that moment where everything comes together, it doesn’t happen all that often but when it does it’s worth the wait!
I have a few documentary stories on the go at the moment and will be working on them when I get chance throughout the year. It is really important for me as a photographer to keep shooting what I love. I love weddings & lifestyle, all that I shoot, but I have to keep refining my eye all the time and no better time than when there is no pressure on out in the world!
I love what I do, I believe that it is not a job it is who I am. “
