I have been using the medium format body for all of my Commercial work, editorial work, fashion & personal work and some wedding imagery throughout 2015 and the star of 2016. I also have my work showcased on the Ricoh website. It is an amazing piece of kit and has taken my image making to I think another level in the last 12 months. It is great to get recognition from such a huge world organisation for my work and long may the relationship continue.
Here is what Ricoh / Pentax have to say..
RICOH IMAGING EUROPE S.A.S is pleased to announce that Brett Harkness, one of the UK’s most sought after photographers, has joined the ranks as its latest ambassador – capturing photography with style, using the PENTAX 645Z.
Described as a ‘photographic phenomenon’, Brett Harkness’s photography covers a wide portfolio, from weddings, to fashion, editorial and commercial. Brett is renowned for his original, fun and cutting-edge approach to all that he photographs – making him the ideal partner for the flagship PENTAX 645Z medium-format digital SLR camera.
The multi-award winning camera features a large CMOS image sensor with approximately 51.4 effective megapixels to deliver super-high-resolution images, outstanding operating performance and exceptional reliability – ideal for satisfying the demands of a professional photographer.
With a reputation for tailored, artistic photography, editorial and location portraiture, Brett utilises venue, setting, lighting, colour, mood and scenery in his shoots, which are regularly featured in the media. He has a rare talent for capturing people at their best through his unobtrusive reportage style, mixed with a strong fashion eye – making this partnership an unstoppable force.
Brett Harkness said: “I am very much looking forward to pushing the PENTAX 645Z to its limits and beyond. It is the perfect camera for most applications and allows me to produce images that simply take my breath away. It is easy to handle, with beautiful lenses to match that give me crisp images every time. Watch this space… the sky is the limit!”
