We will be looking how to create stunning fashion images on location using a mixture of speed lights & larger location Elinchrom lights. Even if you don’t have any other lights than speed lights the process is exactly the same. Learn how to take your flash usage to another place..This time of year is the perfect time to learn how to use flash, this will give you time to practice and put it in place for your winter jobs. This course will teach you…
- How to use flash off camera using Radio triggers
- How to produce breathtaking images , working with models on location
- Using flash on location utilizing location, color & posing. Different lighting techniques from the classic to the crazy!
- Balancing flash & using flash for drama
- Fabulous images to use on your own site
- Using basic Speedlights with Lastolite Ezy boxes & larger Elinchrom lights
- A great day to learn all you can about using flash to give your images that wow factor
- This is the same way we use flash at weddings, commercial, lifestyle etc…

- Flash gun (if you have one) We do have some Canon flashes available.

Photography course snapshot.. where is it?
This one day course starting off at the studio and then onto a location in Manchester will give you ample opportunity to shoot with & without flash our models. This stylized shoot will give you some amazing imagery to use. Most importantly the knowledge to be able to do it yourself. We will be using a mixture of natural light & flash. If you want to learn how to use your flash on location, how to look for the light, looking at posing, form, backgrounds and interaction all to create stunning imagery then this is the course for you. We will be using Elinchrom lights & hand held flash guns throughout the day , so if you want to get down and dirty and learn all about flash then this is the course for you.
Who is this course aimed at?
Our courses are open to anyone that wants to improve their own photographic technique. Brett teaches in such a way that he makes it easy to understand. So if you are a hobby photographer or an advanced pro then you will learn something from Brett Harkness. You will only have to take a look around the site to see Brett’s style or open any of 3 photography magazines this month to see articles from Brett. So if you haven’t been on one of our training courses yet, take the plunge, you won’t regret it!

We will be starting off the day over coffee at the studio in Milnrow, then onto a location in Manchester.
Cancellation Policy:
As our costs for each workshop remain the same no matter how many delegates attend, please note that just like any pre-booked tickets for the theater, concert, flights etc, we are unable to give any refund in the event of non-attendance, regardless of the circumstances. The exception to this is if we have prior notice and are able to put a cancellation place back online AND your place is resold. In this event we will of course make a full refund or credit to you. We also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that our costs would be higher than our income. Please therefore do not leave it until the last few weeks if you are interested in a particular date, as you may find that it has been removed! If we have to remove a date due to this reason then we will look to book your place on a further course with similar content. We require a minimum of 3 delegates on most UK courses for it to go ahead.Moving Forward
